August 5, 2008 New Health Net Plan Configuration on HealthConnect for CT and NYTo increase awareness of our most competitive plans and make it easier for you to quote Health Net for your small business clients, we have reconfigured the way we present our plans on HealthConnect. These changes are reflected in New York and Connecticut only, our New Jersey plans will be reconfigured as of January 1, 2009. Now our plans can be found in three sections under carriers: Health Net Outlook, Health Net Charter and Health Net Non- Pref. You can find all of the plans featured in our Preferred Portfolio in the Health Net Outlook and Health Net Charter sections. All other plans are available under the Health Net Non-Pref (formerly Renewals) section. In addition we have renamed our plans so they are easier to identify and add to your favorite plans. Going forward all plans will include the old Health Net plan code from before the Guardian transition in parenthesis after the new plan code and plan type (HMO, POS etc.). Old codes will be removed permanently on January 1, 2009. Then a short description of the in-network plan design will follow the old plan code. Plans that contain in-network deductibles and coinsurance will look similar but instead of an inpatient hospital benefit they will say D&C for deductible and coinsurance. Example of a plan design with an in-network deductible and coinsurance:
